In 2010 The HitMen would come to an end and the rise of SlipJacket would set the stage for my next top 40 adventure. The last incarnation of the band formerly known as, “The HitMen” would see another name change and the addition of world class bassist/vocalist, Wayne Green. Formally of 4play, and The Grumps.
The rest of the line up would include: Gary Zdenek drums/vocals, Craig Ott guitar/vocals, and myself on keyboards/vocals. Also, included for a very short stint would be virtuoso guitarist and vocalist, Godofredo Bautista.
Wayne was The HitMen’s first and only choice to replace our previous bassist. With the addition of Wayne, SlipJacket’s music direction exploded.
Adding music from all six decades, SlipJacket turned it up a notch. With songs from groups like, Train, Player, Midnight Oil, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Snow Patrol, New Radicals, Big Country, Van Halen, ColdPlay, and Simple Minds, just to name a few. The venues also exploded as well, playing such locations as, Mills Creek, The White House, The Back Alley, Original Mike’s, and The Canyon Inn among others.
It would be my decision to move my family out of state that would end my tenure with SlipJacket. To date SlipJacket continues to perform.
Included on the page is the promotional demo produced live. It features the classic covers from the groups: STYX, Van Halen, ColdPlay, Chicago, The Cars and the band Simple Minds.
